Improve the appearance of Psoriasis with award winning Dermalux™ LED Phototherapy
Dermalux™ LED Phototherapy uses specific wavelengths of LED (light emitting diode) to transform the way your skin looks, evening skin tone, reducing pigmentation and calming redness.
Pain-free and relaxing, each treatment lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. The treatment works by encouraging the body’s fibroblast cells to produce collagen and growth factors. This increases anti-oxidant enzyme levels which help to repair the skin and reduce the appearance of blood vessels.
We can also prescribe a number of pharmaceutical systems containing active ingredients to clinically transform your skin. These include the amazing ZO® therapeutic skincare solutions and the calming Avène range.
The price of one session of Dermalux™ LED Phototherapy is £50 (your first session will be at a reduced price of £35). A course of six treatments costs £270. We also offer other packages for troubled skin, including anti-ageing packages and acne packages.
LED Phototherapy is also an effective way to reduce lines, wrinkles and age spots on the face, decolletage and hands. Click here for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is psoriasis?
Psoriasis is a non-contagious skin condition characterised by red and silvery-white scaly patches on the skin. It can range in severity affecting a small area of skin or areas all over the body. The most common area of the body for psoriasis to appear is on the outside of the knees and elbows but it can also be found on almost any area of the body including the hands, feet, head, genitals, finger nails and toe nails. Psoriasis is believed to be genetic but can also be triggered by stress.
What is Dermalux™ LED Phototherapy?
Dermalux™ LED Phototherapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of LED light (without the sun’s harmful UV rays) to repair and rejuvenate skin cells. The skin absorbs the light and uses it as a source of energy to encourage the body’s fibroblast cells to produce collagen and growth factors. This plumps up the skin which smooths out lines and wrinkles. It also increases anti-oxidant enzyme levels which help to repair the skin and reduce the appearance of blood vessels.
Your trained specialist will take into account your skin type and any skin condition you may have to work out the correct amount of light for the most effective treatment.
